Caitlin Tyson is a Caymanian - American classically trained actress, model, writer, certified yoga instructor and beauty pageant title holder; with an Associates degree in English Literature and in 2016 graduated with a degree from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts professional acting conservatory in New York City.
Tyson is Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2018, representing her country on the internationally televised Miss Universe competition stage in Bangkok, Thailand. Caitlin used her platform as a travel ambassador by inspiring others to be more socially conscious in the Cayman Islands, working closely with The Captain Planet Foundation and Alzheimer's and Dementia Association.
A published writer and model, she also trained in voice and contemporary/modern dance for most of her adolescent years. As an actress she has workshopped with Tony award winner, Frank Langella, premiered Lynn Nottage's acclaimed production 'Ruined' Athens, Greece, and has modeled for various designers in New York Fashion week and Carnegie Hall.
Growing up in the Cayman Islands, she was active in many local theatre productions, dance competitions, talent expositions and local festivals. Raised by a single mother, she credits her strength and concern for the community from her roots that are highly influenced by strong Caymanian women.
